Chamois Time #4 – Sugar Bottom Mountain Bike Time Trial

Thank you to all the racers and volunteers who came out to our first mountain bike Time Trial. We had an outstanding 57 racers! What a great turn out for a week night event.

The next and final race in the Chamois Time Series will be held on September 15th at 5:45pm and will be a gravel road race. Details can be found here.

Iowa State Time Trial Championships


Just around the corner, on August 15th, 2010 ICCC will host this years Iowa State Time Trial Championships near Nichols, IA.

The course is a flat out and back, distance either 20k or 40k based on USAC racing category.

Registration will open at 7:00am and close at 8:00am. Riders will go off in order of registration, with the 20k categories starting first. Park in the DOT parking lot located just south of Nichols on Hwy 70. map | Event Flyer

Chamois Time Mountain Bike Time Trial

The women of ICCC are proud to present the 4th Chamois Time Race, a mountain bike time trial at Sugar Bottom on Wednesday, Aug. 18th. Registration will open at 5:30p, and close 6:15p. Start order will be determined by order of registration. The race will begin at 6:30p.

Due to high water, access to registration will be through the back entrance of Sugar Bottom on Sugar Bottom Rd (first right north of the main entrance on Mehaffey Bridge Rd). Drive up the access road to the shelter area as marked on the course map.

Racers will need a valid USA Cycling annual, or one day license to participate in this event. One day licenses will be available at registration on race day. For more detailed driving directions, and maps of the area see the Chamois Time page.

Race will not be held if Sugar Bottom mountain bike trails are closed. Check ICORR website for trail closure information.
